Digital video recorders (DVRs) are revolutionizing the security industry and are proving to be part of a reliable protection solution for the small business owner. The advanced technology offers new and varied capabilities for integrated systems.

This digital product enables small business owners to replace conventional VCRs and costly tapes. Digital recording vastly improves the quality of the picture and is faster and easier to play back, reducing the time it takes to review events.

As part of an integrated security solution, the DVR contributes to overall peace of mind and operates as an ideal site management tool. The ability to remotely access the DVR from a PC and observe the camera system from a remote location is a key feature that enables the user to supervise his or her store while at home or when traveling.

Remote access provides assurance on many levels. "The small business owner can be out of the office or store and know his or her employees are safer with an integrated security system in place," "The owner also has the ability to make sure that employees are assisting customers and working responsibly."

Storage capability is another appealing feature that enables data to be saved for a longer period of time. Often, videotape records over itself before the business owner realizes footage must be viewed. Digital data is stored on a computer's hard drive as opposed to videotape so information can be retrieved more efficiently and you're not constantly changing tapes. This long-term recording capability comes in handy for theft discovered well after the fact, insurance cases, and employee conflicts.

Our new environment demands new security solutions and digital video recorders are an exciting part of the transition.
